DaftariOS is operated by Wideangle Holdings Limited, based in Dar es Salaam, Tanzania. This policy explains what information we collect from business owners, their staff, sales agents, and managers who use DaftariOS, why we collect it, and how it's protected.
To run the core product: verifying who's checking in, calculating staff performance and commissions, detecting pricing and cash-handling anomalies, sending SMS notifications, and activating your account when a subscription payment is confirmed.
We do not sell your data to anyone, for any reason.
All PINs are hashed, never stored in plain text. Every business's data is isolated from every other business — an owner, staff member, or agent can only see data belonging to their own account, enforced at the server level and adversarially tested. Device approval requires the account owner's own registered phone, not just a PIN, before a new device can be trusted.
You can request a copy of your data, or request that it be deleted, by contacting us at the address below. Deleting an account disables access but preserves transaction history as required for accounting and dispute resolution — we'll tell you clearly what's kept and why if you ask.
We keep operational and payment records for as long as your account is active, and for a reasonable period after closure to meet standard accounting and tax obligations under Tanzanian law.
